With a little bit of preparation, however, you can avoid the stress and get some great wedding photos. Consider these tips on how to find and work with your wedding photographer.
It’s never too early to research: Up to a year before tying the knot, you can start doing your homework on potential photographers. Ask friends for recommendations and browse some photographer websites and blogs. Online galleries will help give you an idea of a photographer’s style. Keep in mind that most professionals will also be able to adapt to your ideas and creative input.
Consider your location: Will you be tying the knot in your hometown, or are you planning a destination wedding? Considering a fun location such as Las Vegas will mean finding a photographer that’s not only local, but understands what visitors may be looking for. Vet for photographers who know how to show off the assets of your wedding’s location.
